Lifetime Acheivement Award for George McClelland.
Past Piper Major, President and Life Member George McLelland added a new distinction to his long list of Perth Highland highlights when he was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual Christmas party on December 11.
George has devoted most of his life to the furtherment of Perth Highland, including tutoring many of its players over the years and taking up the position of tutor at Scotch College after he retired from his work, so that he could train more students to feed into the band.
George was especially proud to have marched in his 40th Anzac Day parade in Pinjarra with the band.
President John Hunter gave a moving speech, which was warmly recieved by all present at the Christmas gathering.
