Andrew McCormack
made Life Member!
Andrew McCormack was bestowed Life Membership at the 2004 PHPB Annual General Meeting Wednesday 11 August and presented with his certificate at the Christmas Party.
At the presentation, Senior Vice President Malcolm MacLean spoke about Andrew “The Don” McCormack's obsessive dedication to the job of Pipe Major. Andrew has innovated many technologies and techniques to forward the musical standard of the band. He has also been a diligent and tireless worker for the Committee. And his dedication for the Band is exemplified each week by the mileage on his Volvo (Andrew travels from Pinjarra, a country town 90 minutes away from Perth, every Wednesday night for practice).
The notice of motion to recognise Andrew McCormack with honorary Life Membership at the Annual General Meeting was proposed by Pipe Sergeant Malcolm MacLean and seconded by Drum Sergeant David Johnston on May 24.
