Green shirts debut at the 2005 Christmas Pageant.
After decades of wearing white short-sleeved shirts as part of the uniform, the band has moved to a green long-sleeved shirt.
The new shirts offer better sun protection, a vital move in Western Australia's harsh climate, and will hopefully provide more longevity than white shirts, which can discolour.
This year's Channel 7 Christmas Pageant was attended by 250,000 people and was broadcast the following night to a large television audience.
