Mike Lawlor plays his
first parade in Perenjori.

New recruit Mike Lawlor came on his first band turnout, an epic four hour bus trip to the MidWest town of Perenjori for the region's annual show.
Mike has previously played in bands in Queensland, the Eastern Goldfields and Rockingham.
The band played three performances during the afternoon before heading back on the bus with stops a few pubs along the way including the intriguing town of Wubin and the monastic town of New Norcia.
Mike took a particular liking to the Benedictine Monk's port, as did Big Phil and David Johnston. Something in this holy elixir made them each burst in to song on the bus on the way home, although the songs were not those normally approved by monks!
