Dave debuts as Drum Major at the 2006 Christmas Pageant.
David Johnston employed a novel strategy to avoid carrying a drum around the city for the annual Christmas Pageant, he volunteered to be Drum Major for the night!
Leaving Aaron to lead the three other snares, Dave steered the band around the course like he'd been doing it for years.
This year's Channel 7 Christmas Pageant was attended by 250,000 people and was broadcast the following night to a large television audience.
