Java St Andrews Society Ball

Perth Highland Pipe Band was lucky enough to be invited back to Jakarta again for the annual St Andrew's Ball.
Five bandsmen were flown to Indonesia Thursday night for the weekend of Java St Andrew's Society events, including performing on the Friday for a fundraising golf day for the Society and all night on Saturday for the St Andrew's Ball.
The Quintet played in a tropical uniform for the Golf Day.
The band played the golfers on to the spectacular course then retired to a wet edged pool for the afternoon before strapping the kilts back on to play at the 18th hole as all the players came in for the presentations.

On Saturday night for the Ball, the band played brackets throughout the night from 6pm to 3:30am, and also attended the official breakfast on the Sunday morning!
The St Andrew's Society Ball is a very grand function, attended by approximately 500 mostly Scottish expatriots working in Jakarta. This year's Ball included a key note address from the former Scotland Soccer Captain and tradition caleigh music from the Hong Kong Caleidgh Band.
